Part of the Industrial Tool Group has been marked ‘Industrial Part’ on its packaging, marking it as an industrial tool and therefore, as part of its product range.
The ‘industry part’ marking was placed on the packaging by the Irish manufacturer of the tools.
The new marking is part of the company’s commitment to the “Made in Ireland” initiative.
A spokesperson for the company said that it had been the subject of a number of complaints over the years about the marking, which it had previously changed.
However, the spokesperson said it would not change its business practices and the company was committed to the ‘Made in Italy’ initiative.
“It is disappointing that some people do not appreciate the difference between an industrial part and a tool,” the spokesperson added.
“The Made in Italy initiative was started by the Government of the Republic of Ireland and its objectives include promoting sustainable manufacturing.”
However, there are no guarantees that we will continue to adhere to our commitment.
