Volkswagen has announced the next generation of its all-wheel drive Golf sedan is set to get the Turbo in 2019.
The new Cayenne will be the first Porsche 911 to use the new 3.0-liter flat-six engine.
The engine is based on the 3.7-liter, which makes up the base model of the Golf and the Porsche Cayenne.
The Turbo also gets a new 5-speed automatic transmission, and the Cayenne gets the standard 5-speeds and the Turbo Luxury Package that includes a 17-inch display.
The Porsche will also get a new rear seat, a larger rear bumper, more heated front seats, a redesigned interior, a rearview camera, a new driver-assist steering wheel, and a new air suspension system.
The Golf will also receive the Turbo’s adaptive cruise control, new rear cross traffic alert system, and adaptive cruise-control assist.
Volkswagen also says the Turbo will be offered with a “special” roof cover, and that a full-size door grille is also in the works.
It is likely that Porsche will launch the Cayuan with the Turbo, but it is not clear how it will do so.
The Cayenne, meanwhile, gets a redesigned trunk lid and a slightly wider roofline.
The 911 Turbo will also see a new standard gear selector, a more powerful 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a redesigned front airbag.
The front and rear airbags have been relocated, and Porsche says the Cayennes will be lighter than before.
Porsche says that the Cayon and Cayenne S will be available in three color combinations, black, gold and red.
