GE is shipping industrial parts from its former home in Michigan to Amazon, where they can be processed into a variety of products including refrigerators and other equipment.
GE said that it will be shipping the parts to customers on Monday, the same day that it began shipping to other Amazon customers.
The move comes as Amazon has been embroiled in a lawsuit with GE over allegations of unfair competition, including claims that GE’s GE-branded air conditioners have a lower efficiency rating than those of rivals like Nest and Thermaltake.
The suit alleges that GE has been using its brand to increase its sales by over 50 percent and that the company is in violation of antitrust law.
GE also says it will sell its GE-built refrigerators to Amazon.com, a move that Amazon says will help it lower its costs and compete with other manufacturers.
